I'm in love with this amazing fado singer since I first heard the "Garras dos sentidos" album in 1998 playing in "Mes amis" bar in Bucharest. She's extremely intelligent, cultured and sensitive. She fills the stage with her strong charismatic yet modest presence.
Not everyone with a beautiful voice becomes a great artist. Misia is special, she conceives her own albums, she works with the best contemporary poets (dead or alive and manages to get far beyond the very talented Mariza and Dulce Pontes. She's the best ambassador of Portugal and its culture. I hope to hear her sing again next to rio Tejo one day.
