AUGUST 11, 2007 - 11TH COMMANDMENT: DON'T COMPLAIN

I've read recently about Leonid Stadnik, the world's tallest man (2.56cm; 8'5.5"), a veterinarian from a poor village in Ukraine who cannot practice because of his condition, as he continues to grow and his health is deteriorating. Obviously he doesn't have the money for surgery.

He hates all the attention he gets and only wants to be a normal person. He never had a girlfriend and doesn't hope for one (although the two tallest Chinese are getting married). He considers his physical condition a curse. I was so sorry to hear about it...such a touching story. He seems such a nice man.

A good lesson in a world where everyone is trying so hard to be famous.
